Alice Elizabeth Rhodemyre Ross
Alice Elizabeth Rhodemyre Ross, 92, of 2008 Hart Road, Lexington, Ky., formerly of Ashland, Ky., widow of George Patton Ross, died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, in Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
She was a retired elementary school teacher for the Ashland Public School System, was born in Virginia City, Va., and was a daughter of the late John Edgar and Sarah Elizabeth Gregg Rhodemyre.
Mrs. Ross received her B.S. degree in elementary education from Marshall University in Huntington, W.Va., and she was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ashland.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ellen Ross of Lexington; one sister, Betty Carol Keeton and brother-in-law, Dr. James Marvin Keeton of Midlothian, Va.; and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Rhodemyre of Nicholasville, Ky.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Patton Ross.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Ashland Cemetery and conducted by the Rev. Ed Talley.
There will be no visitation.
