Lucille Miranda

Lucille Kendall Miranda, 83, of Ashland, Ky., died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2003, at her residence.
Mrs. Miranda was born Feb. 5, 1920, in Hopewell, Ky., a daughter of the late Vernon V. and Mary Dean Norris Kendall.
She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star and was a former member and past president of the Heritage Woman's Club, X Epsilon Chapter and Beta Sigma Phi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh C. "Huck" Miranda; and one brother, Charles Kendall, who was killed in World War II.
She is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel on Central Avenue by the Rev. Wayne Watts. Burial will be in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
