H.C. "Buddy" Sexton, 76, of Lexington, Ky., formerly of Ashland, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Lexington, Ky., after a sudden illness.
Mr. Sexton was born May 8, 1926, in Lowmoor, Va., a son of the late C.N. and Mayme Gillium Sexton.
He was retired from Sexton Welding after 44 years of service. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and Elks Lodge 350.
Mr. Sexton is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Smith Sexton, of Lexington. He is also survived by two daughters, Lisa Ann Curtis and son-in-law Brint Curtis of Lexington, and Mari Gail Sexton and son-in-law Robert Money of Louisville, Ky.; a brother, C.N. Sexton of Los Angeles, Calif.; four sisters, Eleanor Elliott of Covington, Va., Margaret Mann of Hudson, N.C., Charlotte Ginn of Los Angeles, Calif., and Louise Adams of Titusville, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Tanner Clay Curtis, Kasey Ann Curtis, Grace Ann Money and Robert Alexander Money.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, at Steen Funeral Homes-Ashland Chapel by Rev. Wayne Watts. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday.
