Lelia Nolte
1924-2003
Lelia Griffith Nolte died Saturday, Nov. 15, at her residence in Trinity Station.
She was born Sept. 15, 1924, in Willard, Ky., a daughter of the late Snowy Artis Griffith and John T. Griffith.
She resided in Ashland most of her life and retired from the FIVCO District Health Department.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, William H. Nolte; a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Robert Holt of Villa Hills, Ky.; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Suzanne Nolte of College Park, Ga., two grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Rob and Kristen Holt and Kevin and Jennifer Holt; as well as three great-grandchildren, Molly, Anna and Bret Holt; all of Northern Kentucky; and a sister, Helen Meade of London, Ohio.
She had been a member of Normal Presbyterian Church, the What-so-Ever Circle No. 2 of the King's Daughters and Sons Home, and a volunteer for the Ashland Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the John Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel. The Rev. Susan Alley will conduct the service.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the service time on Tuesday, at the funeral home. Interment will be immediately following the service at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.
