Bobbi Martin

1955-2003

Barbara "Bobbi" Martin, 48, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Nov. 30, 2003, as a result of an extended illness.

Ms. Martin was born Aug. 12, 1955, in Chicago, Ill., a daughter of the late Clarence Martin and Marie Martin of Paris, Tenn. She was preceded in death by one brother, Randall Martin.

Surviving in addition to her mother are her brothers, Richard "Rick" Martin of Paris, Tenn., Ronnie Martin of Gilbert, Ariz., and her sisters, Mrs. Harold (Beverly) Cathey of Ashland, Ky., Mrs. John (Brenda) Sherman of Bartlett, Ill., and Mrs. Nick (Betty) Nuzzo of Savannah, Tenn., several nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews who adored her.

Bobbi was an active member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a very giving and loving person who always put others needs above her own. She was the favorite playmate to her great nieces and nephews.

Bobbi will be sadly missed by all those who knew her and loved her, but we will all have great joy in knowing that she is now with Jesus and in a perfect body that will no longer know pain.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral service time Tuesday at the Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home by the Rev. Floyd Paris and the Rev. Harold Cathey.

The body will be transported to Paris, Tenn., where friends and family members may pay final respect. Interment will be arranged by Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris, Tenn.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 2320 29th Street, Ashland, KY or Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY.
