1923-2003

Elanor (Jackie) Hearld, 80, of Kingsbrook Life Care, Ashland, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, in King's Daughters Medical Center after an extended illness.

She was born May 27, 1923, in Auxier, a daughter of the late Archie and Dorothula Vaughn Harman.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Summit Nazarene Church, YMCA and member of the Ashland Public Library.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Herald DiMella of Wayne, N.J., and Marquita Holbrook of Summitt, Ky.; three brothers, Archie Harman Jr. of Vienna, Va., Alvin Harman of Westwood, Ky., and David Harman of Cannonsburg, Ky.; five sisters, Willa Mae Dalenberg of Elkhardt, Ind., Viva Click of Cannonsburg, Joyce Maines of Anchorage, Alaska, Sharon Clupenger of Orlando, Fla., and Jenny Peterson of Lakewood, Fla.; and a grandson, Michael Ray Holbrook of Rush, Ky.

Funeral services will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 29 at the Steen Funeral Home - Marshall Steen Chapel by Philip Stephens. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Burial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Dianne,Marquita,Michael Ray and Family ..I just heard of Aunt "Jack"'s passing and I am truly sorry she was really loved I have alot of fond memories of her from childhood around the family home and also as I got older just really felt loved as I got to know you and all the rest of the family . Just wanted to say all my love and prayers are with you and I will miss her, love you guys our family and also my brothers' families send their condolences and love.

Dianne,Marquitta,Michael Ray and Family...I just wanted you to know how much I love you all...I'm still in Scotland and times like this is when I just want to be home with family.It snowed on the 26th and as I looked out I saw my rosebush had bloomed again..I couldn't help thinking of Jackie and comparing her with my roses..how beautiful and graceful they stood in the sun..I have named my roses in memory of a Very Special Lady...Aune Jackie...You are at peace now...I love you...
