Margaret Huff
1916-2004
Margaret Louise Hicks Barney Huff, 87, of Lexington, formerly of Ashland, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, in St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. Huff was born July 4, 1916, in Davy, W.Va., a daughter of the late Curtis William and Alza Burton Hicks.
She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Barney, and her second husband, Bill Huff.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, David (Dottie) Barney of Warsaw, Ky.; a daughter and son-in-law, Pat (Cecil) Yates of Opelika, Ala., and a stepdaughter, Eva Snyder of Houston, Texas; a sister, Mable (Ollie) Montgomery of Paintsville; grandchildren Lee Yates, David Barney Jr., Deborah Yaden, Donna Lewis, Diana Mounce, Dolores Huff, Don Snyder and Robbie Huff; and eight great-grandchildren.
There will be a private family graveside service at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) by the Rev. Patricia Yates and the Rev. Lee Yates.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1930 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY 41101 or the Alzheimer's Association, Lexington/Bluegrass Chapter, 836 Euclid Ave., Lexington, KY 40502.
