Evelyn Day Renn

Evelyn Day Renn, 86, of Ashland, Ky., died Feb. 20, 2004, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 21, 1917, in Soldier, Ky., a daughter of the late Everett and Myrtle Rayburn Day.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert T. Renn.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thurman Day, and two sisters, Thelma Adams and Mary Alice Jones.
Mrs. Renn was a member of the Christian Church in Louisville, Ky. She was a retired nurse at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Louisville, where she resided for 30 years.
Her survivors include a nephew, Jeff Adams of Williamstown, Ky.; six nieces, Carolyn Butcher and Margaret Meek, both of Ashland, Jae Breitweiser of Madison, Ind., Sandra Tilton of Huntsville, Ala., Merlene Cummins of Hebron, Ky., and Jennifer Adams of Taylorsville, Ky.; nine great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at Marshall Steen Funeral Home by Dr. Floyd Paris. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, at the funeral home.
