Susan Gillispie "Susie" Daniel

Susan Gillispie "Susie" Daniel, 92, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, March 29, 2004, in Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Daniel was born May 16, 1911, in Meally, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Earl Gillispie and Anna Bailey Gillispie Robinson.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Daniel Sr.; two sons, David Daniel Jr. and Dr. James Earl Daniel; three brothers, James P. Wheeler Gillispie, Earl Gillispie, and Enoch Robinson Jr.; and two sisters, Eva Wheeler Vaughn and Gertrude Gillispie.
She was a member of United Baptist Church in Paintsville, Ky., and attended First Baptist Church in Ashland.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Harold T. Daniel and his wife, Shirley Daniel, of Lexington, Ky.; a daughter, Deborah Daniel Frazier and her husband, Dr. Joseph W. Frazier of Ashland; two daughters-in-law, Virginia Morton Daniel of Lexington and Martha Ann Daniel of Ashland; two sisters, Beatrice Arnett Callison of New Carlisle, Ohio, and Emma Wheeler Damron of St. Joseph, Mich.; grandchildren, Shelia Denise Daniel of Simpsonville, Ky., Teresa Ann Daniel of Ashland, Dr. Lisa Michelle Daniel of Santa Ana, Calif., Dr. James E. Daniel II of Ashland, Thomas Christopher Daniel of Atlanta, Cheryl Daniel Norton of Paintsville, Alison Daniel Campbell of San Diego, Whitney Daniel Frazier of Louisville, Ky., and Joshua William Frazier of Ashland; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2004, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Elders John Pelphrey and Charles Price. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
