Gladys Snodgrass
1902-2004
Gladys Snodgrass, age 102, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, May 3, 2004, at her residence.
Mrs. Snodgrass was born Jan. 11, 1902, in Wisconsin, a daughter of the late William and Lucy Dolan.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charley F. Snodgrass.
In her earlier life, she was a school teacher in Wisconsin and was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's Circle.
Surviving are a daughter, Dr. L.S. Weakley (Dr. Sam Weakley) of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Charles (Vicki) Snodgrass of Georgetown, Ky., and Byron (Rosemary) Snodgrass of Palm Harbor, Fla.; grandchildren, Christina Snodgrass, David Snodgrass, Daniel Snodgrass, Stephanie Walters, Greg Snodgrass, Stephen Weakley, Sam Weakley, Dr. Barbara Jones, Dr. Melinda Knight, Leigh Hamblen and Kevin Healy; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2004, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Wayne Watts. Burial will be in Dell Cemetery in Westby, Wis.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 tonight, May 6, 2004, at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, 2901 Winchester Ave., for purchase of property next to the church.
