Ruth B. Ravencraft, 87, of Ashland, Ky., died Monday, July 19, 2004, in Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
She was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Robert and Linda Fitzgerald Barker.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, George T. Ravencraft in 1996; a brother, Robert L. Barker; a sister, Doris Bowman; and a grandchild, Chad Ravencraft.
A mother and homemaker, she was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Ashland and Boyd County Homemakers Club.
Her survivors include two sons, George David Ravencraft and his wife, Charlene, of Reston, Va., and Richard Lee Ravencraft of Ashland; two brothers, John Paul Barker and his wife, Kay, of Ashland and William Glen Barker and his wife, Clare, of Nashville, Tenn.; three sisters, Pearl B. Smith and Marie Fugitt, both of Ironton, Ohio, and Helen Clay of Haines City, Fla.; four grandchildren, Mathew Ravencraft, Lori Ravencraft, Megan Ravencraft and Josh Ravencraft; and three great-grandchildren, Kimberly Farrar Waring, Connor Ravencraft and Rachel Ravencraft.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Charles E. Stewart. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the funeral home.
