Goldie Collins Stamper, 87, of Oakmont Manor Health Care, formerly of Woodland Oaks Health Care Center, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, in Oakmont Manor Health Care Center.
Mrs. Stamper was born April 25, 1917, in Martin County, Ky., a daughter of the late Dan and Susie Gayhart Collins.
She was also preceded in death by a niece, Pam Collins; and a brother, Ernest Collins.
She formerly worked as a credit manager with Star Fashion World and was a member of South Ashland United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Steven H. "Harlo" Stamper of Flatwoods, Ky., formerly of Walters Hill Drive, Ashland, Ky.; three nieces, Pat Walton of Poinciana, Fla., Paula Sterling of Ashland and Brenda Campbell of Ashland; several other nieces and nephews by marriage; a brother, O.A. Collins of Ashland; and a sister, Flovia Harrison of St. Cloud, Fla.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2004, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call after 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
