Minerva Kittle, 85, of Ashland, Ky., passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at the Kingsbrook Life Care Center.
Minerva was born Nov. 18, 1918, in Lawrence County, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William H.H. and Sarah Derifield Martin, of Louisa, Ky.
She was a member of Concord United Baptist Church in Lawrence County, Ky. She departed this life serving her Lord and Savior for 58 years.
She leaves behind a loving son, Carl Kittle, and a special daughter-in-law, Jerri Kittle, of Summit, with whom she lived before her illness. Also, two daughters, Darlene and her husband, Steve Meyers, of Ashland, Ky., and Donna Williamson of Summit, Ky.; and two deceased sisters, Thelma Dillon of Ashland, Ky., and Dove Diamond of Grayson, Ky.; one living brother, Winfield Martin of Fort Gay, W.Va.; and three sisters, Virginia Salmons of Louisa, Ky., Lucille Maynard of Mansfield, Ohio, and Laverne Fitzpatrick of Murfeesboro, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Carla Kittle Akers, Robin Kittle Bennett, Angie Kittle Ramey and Ryan Williamson, all of Summit, Ky., Stephanie Myers of Charlottesville, Va., and Allison Meyers Donnelly of Durham, N.C.; and four great-grandchildren, Kristen McKee, Evan Bennett, Andrew Akers and Celia Donnelly.
Friends are welcome to attend the graveside services officiated by the Rev. Randall Skaggs at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at the Bellefonte Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Flatwoods. Graveside Services are under the direction of Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland.
The family wishes to express special gratitude to the staff of Kingsbrook Life Care Center and to Dr. Phillip Fioret for the wonderful love and compassion they gave to her.
