William Goebel "Bill" Cantrell, 69, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, in Morehead.
He was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Ashland, Ky., a son of the late William Goebel and Sally Lemaster Cantrell.
He was a member of the Second Freewill Baptist Church in Ashland and a resident of the Life Care Center in Morehead, Ky., but was a life-long resident of Ashland, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Opal Cantrell Adams.
Surviving are his brother-in-law, Ray Adams of Ashland; a niece, Linda Kaye Smith and her husband, Frank, of Ashland; Lynnette Raye Kautz and her husband, Rusty, and their daughter, Savannah, of Sapulpa, Okla.; and Drs. Eric and Melissa Smith and their son, Adian, of Dayton, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2004, by the Rev. Randall Skaggs at Steen Funeral Home-Central Ave. Chapel in Ashland.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the services at the Rose Hill Burial Park.
