Ruth Rowe Moore, 82, of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, in the Hospice Care Facility.
She was born Dec. 26, 1921, in Pikeville, Ky., the daughter of the late Vernon and Kate Flanery Rowe.
Her husband, Clayton Moore, preceded her in death June 22, 2004.
Mrs. Moore, a retired licensed beautician, was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Ann Moore; and a brother, William G. Rowe.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and attended Davidson United Church in Davidson, N.C.
Her survivors include two sons, Jim D. Moore and his wife, Elaine, of Denver, N.C., and Kenneth D. Moore of Greenup, Ky.; grandchildren, Tina Drengacs of Taylorsville, Ky., and Matt Moore of Cornellius, N.C.; and great-grandchildren, Nick Paulus and Daniel Drengacs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Jim Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation is from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2335 Pollard Road, Ashland, KY 41101.
