Betty J. Hensley Patrick, 73, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2002, in Kingsbrook Life Care Center.
Mrs. Patrick was born Nov. 2, 1929, in Blue Diamond, Ky., a daughter of the late Lake Hensley and Davie Cown Hensley West.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray F. Patrick; and three sisters, Jo Ann Hensley, Norma June Yates and Connie Mays.
She was a retired supervisor with Social Insurance of Kentucky. A graduate of Buffalo High School, she was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church and the YMCA.
Survivors include two sons, Douglas Dow Kiser of Schererville, Ind., and Jeff Patrick of Ashland; a daughter, Cathy LaBarbera of Marietta, Ga.; a sister, Davie Dow LaVan of Painesville, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Joshua Kiser, Leighton LaBarbera, Alexandra LaBarbera, Athontony LaBarbera, Jarred Patrick, Jeremy Patrick and Jerica Patrick; and a dear friend and caregiver, Marylin Burdette of Ashland.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at Steen Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel by the Rev. Michael Rice. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
