Thelma Ann Salyers, 58, of 10232 Ky. 5, Ashland, Ky., died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Salyers was born Oct. 24, 1944, in Coalton, Ky., a daughter of the late William Elza and Eunice Mae Dinkens Rucker.
She was a Christian and a former paper carrier and a homemaker.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Matthew Ray Salyers; a brother, Sanford Toby Rucker; and a sister, Sarah Josephine Smith.
Surviving are her husband, Donald R. Salyers of Ashland; eight brothers, Hansel "Bud" Rucker, Edsel Rucker, William Elza Rucker Jr. , Phillip Dale Rucker, and Danny Rucker, all of Rush, David Rucker of Flushing, Ohio, Harry Wayne Rucker of Ashland, and Marvin Oscar Rucker of Ironton, Ohio; and three sisters, Shirley Caines and Verna Lee, both of Rush, and Clella Mae Shawhan of Tuscumbia, Ala.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Coalton Cemetery Rucker Family Section by the Rev. Carson Bill Gullett and the Rev. Gary Ercel Salyers.
There is no public visitation.
Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
