Robert W. Meade, 69, of Lloyd, Ky., died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 30, 1935, in Catlettsburg, Ky., a son of Shirley Franklin Meade of Kenton, Ohio, and the late Tom Meade.
He was a painter and was an Army veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Deloris Rice Meade of Lloyd; two daughters, Teresa Johnson of Argillite, Ky., and Janise Hounchell of Maysville, Ky.; three sons, Bill Meade of Argillite, Robert Meade of Gonzolas, La., and Timothy Meade of Lloyd; two brothers, James Meade of Monroe, La., and Tom Meade of Kenton; a sister, Collette Relyea of Findlay, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel, 3409 13th St., Ashland, by Pastor Trent Hounchell and Mike Miller. Burial will be in Oldfield Cemetery in Greenup, Ky.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
