Curtis E. Stewart, 71, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Friday, Dec. 17, 2004, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland.

Mr. Stewart was born Sept. 7, 1933, in Boyd County, Ky., a son of the late Issac and Alice Enyart Stewart.

He was a former fireman and employee of C&O Railroad.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Nick Stewart and Gene Stewart; and two sisters, Mary Medley and Anna Bell Miller.

His survivors include his wife, Freda Rogers Stewart of Flatwoods; and four sons, Gordon Lynn (Debbie) Stewart of Greenup, Ky., Curtis E. (Linda) Stewart Jr. of Columbus, Ohio, and Philip Dean Stewart and Kenneth Joe (Gail) Stewart, both of Flatwoods.

Also surviving are five brothers, John Stewart, Tommy Stewart, Ray Stewart and Billy Joe Stewart, all of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Harold Stewart of Ashland; and four sisters, Mae Rigsby of Catlettsburg, Mildred "Middy" Terry of Cannonsburg, Ky., Linda Smith of W.Va., and Faye Grimm of Flat Gap, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services in honor of Mr. Stewart will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Don Estep officiating. Burial will be in Bowling Cemetery in Whites Creek.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 tonight, Dec. 19, 2004, at the funeral home.
