William "Bill" Beard Campbell Sr., 85, of Cape Cod, Mass., formerly of the Ashland, Ky., area and Williamsburg, Va., died Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, in Cape Regency Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Cape Cod.
He was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Salt Lick, Ky., a son of the late Leonard M. and Liza Beard Campbell.
His wife, Iris Downs Campbell, died in 1998.
He was a retired vice president of Mayflower Furniture Co. in Newton, Mass. and was a member of Bruten Parish Episcopal Church in Williamsburg.
Surviving are two sons, William B. Campbell Jr. of Mazatlan, Mexico, and Geoffrey Downs Campbell of Phoenix; a brother-in-law, J.P. Downs and his wife, Ruth, of Ashland; and a granddaughter.
A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, at Ashland Cemetery by the Rev. Mann S. Valentine VI. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
There is no visitation.
