Hazel Travis Brooks Alley died Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2005, in Boyd County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was 91.
She was born Dec. 23, 1913, in Johnson County, Ky., a daughter of the late Johnathon and Sally Vanhoose Travis.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Howard Brooks and Joe Alley; three brothers; and two sisters.
She was a long-time member of the Hyland Heights Baptist Church, was a Kentucky colonel and was a homemaker.
Hazel is survived by several nieces and nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland.
Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
