Beulah Marie Ritchie - 1919-2005

Beulah Marie Ritchie, 85, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday morning, Feb. 20, 2005, in Jo Linn Nursing Facility in Ironton, Ohio, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Ritchie was born March 14, 1919, in Elliott County, Ky., a daughter of the late Claude and Emma Hutchinson Williams.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Ritchie.
She was a cafeteria supervisor with Lawrence County School Systems and worked in the superintendent's office of Lawrence County Schools.
She was a member of Rose Hill Baptist Church, South Point Women's Club, Homemakers, and Democratic Women's Club.
Surviving are a daughter, Yvonne Shutt of Ashland and a son, Zane (Annette) Ritchie of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; two sisters, Christine Atkins of Waynesville, Ohio, and Bertha Lyons of Centerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Dale Maddy. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point, Ohio.
