Olive R. McKenzie, 97, a lifetime resident of Ashland, Ky., went to join her heavenly host Feb. 24, 2005, in Jo-Lin Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. McKenzie was born May 6, 1907, in Lapel, Ind., a daughter of the late Turner W. and Ardelia Wells Rayburn.
She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Ashland.
Her husband, Charles Brady McKenzie, died in 1978.
She was also preceded in death by one son, William Edward McKenzie, and two brothers, Cecil Rayburn and Clarence Rayburn.
Surviving are one son, Charles Brady McKenzie and his wife, Ella Jay, of Hudson, Fla.; one brother, Walter Rayburn of Ashland; one sister, Dorothy Cowan of Wetumpka, Ala.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Harold Hunter. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
