Wanda Loretta Singleton, 77, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, March 2, 2005, in King's Daughters Medical Center.

Mrs. Singleton was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Louisa, Ky., a daughter of the late Elmore and Juno Diamond Stout.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harry McDonald Singleton Jr.; a brother, Elmore Stout Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Jo Branninger and Patricia Stout.

She was a retired dietitian for Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and attended Centenary United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Harry McDonald Singleton Sr.; three sons, James H. Singleton and Gerald Lee Singleton, both of Ashland, and Joe E. Singleton of Lexington Park, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Singleton of Ashland; two brothers, George Stout of Westwood, Ky., and James Edward Stout of Rockdale; four grandchildren, Jamie Stevens, James Russell Singleton, Joseph McDonald Singleton and Clifford Scott Singleton; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon Thomas Stevens and Ashley Paige Stevens.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland with the Rev. Randy Coy officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashland Cemetery.

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
