June Fry, age 80 (June 24, 1924), a resident of Orange Park, died March 5, 2005, in Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville.
Mrs. Fry was a native of Findlay, Ohio, coming to Orange Park a month ago from Ashland, Ky.
She was the daughter of the late Angelo Dantico and Laura Mae Allen Dantico.
June was a homemaker and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ashland. She was also a member of the LWML of St. Paul's.
June was a volunteer for the food bank and at the polls and throughout the community. She enjoyed reading, sewing and all crafts.
Mrs. Fry was preceded in death by her husband, Kerwin M. Fry, in March 1995; two brothers and a sister.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Townsend of Green Cove Springs, Fla.; a sister, Lalia Powell of Palm Beach, Fla.; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
Services for Mrs. Fry will be Thursday, March 10, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ashland.
Friends may call Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time at the church.
Services will be conducted under the direction of the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
