Nora K. Gowen, age 97, of Ashland, Ky., died March 8, 2005, at her residence.
Mrs. Gowen was born Dec. 7, 1907, in Boyd County, Ky., and was the daughter of the late Byrd and Laura Kelly.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gowen was also preceded in death by her husband, William C. Gowen in 1995; and a son, James Gowen.
A homemaker, she was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Ashland.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Donald B. Spears of Disputana, Va., Carol Chapman of Atlanta, Sandy Bowman of Ashland, Jackie Barrett of Ohio and Margaret Jordan of Virginia.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2005, at Ashland Cemetery Mausoleum by the Rev. Ike Nicholson. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
There is no visitation.
Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
