Willa Betran "Bill" Sexton, 102, of Rush, Ky., died Wednesday, March 23, 2005, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.
She was born Dec. 10, 1902, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Jasper and Miriam Lambert Sexton.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Sexton; four brothers, Normal Sexton, the Rev. Edgar Sexton, Harold Sexton and Wirt Sexton; and a sister, Hopie Sexton.
She was the oldest member of East Fork United Methodist Church, was a member of Trace Homemakers for over 65 years, where she had recently been presented with an award for being the oldest living member of the homemakers association in the U.S., and was a devoted mother and grandmother.
Surviving are a daughter, Bonnie Easterling Moore and her husband, the Rev. John Moore of Rush; a son, Glen Calvin Sexton and his wife, Jean Sexton, of Canton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel by the Rev. Walter Wilcox. Burial will be in Klaiber-Sexton Cemetery.
