Laura Allene May, 90, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, April 10, 2005, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
Mrs. May was born March 13, 1915, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Ed and Ella McGuire Williams.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence May, and a son, Ronald May.
She was a homemaker and a member of Pollard Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Cornwell and her husband, Wink, of Ashland; three sons, Richard May of Austin, Texas, and Kenneth May and Donald May, both of Ashland; four sisters, Betty Gunderson, Virginia Sweeney, Mary Vanderpool and Evelyn Allen, all of Ashland; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Tom Swartzwelder. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pollard Baptist Church, 444 Blackburn Ave., Ashland, KY 41102.
