Bazil Owen Perkins, 82, of Ashland, Ky., since 1945, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
He was born June 30, 1922, in Streator, Ill., a son of the late Robert G. and Beulah D. Richardson Perkins.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Louada Irene Dodson Perkins in 1993.
He was retired with Ashland Oil at No. 1 Refinery, was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and PACE Local No. 5-214 and a former member of Poage Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are a son, Scott Owen Perkins and his wife, Deborah L. of Ashland; one granddaughter, Marie S. Mills of Berryville, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary Mills, Jamie Mills and Precious Mills.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum Chapel by the Rev. Jimm Smedley. Burial will be in Rose Hill Mausoleum with military service conducted by Ironton VFW Post No. 8850.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel.
