Billy G. Chaney, 69, of Catlettsburg, Ky., died Monday, May 9, 2005, in King's Daughters Medical Center.
Mr. Chaney was born March 15, 1936, in Ashland, Ky., a son of the late Garland Chaney Sr. and Viola Calhoun Chaney Lambert.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Orville Chaney, James Paul Chaney and Garland Chaney Jr.; and two sisters, Vicie Wolfe and Pricie Justice.
He was retired from Calgon Inc. as a shift supervisor and was a graduate of Boyd County High School.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann Fields Chaney of Catlettsburg; a daughter, Jean Ann Chaney of Ashland; a son, Donald (Ruth Ellen) Chaney of Ashland; three grandchildren, Bryan Chaney, Melissa Chaney and Billy Joe Hendrickson; and three great-grandchildren, Haley Jo, Eli and Ashton Hendrickson.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Farley Stuart. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Donald Chaney, Billy Joe Hendrickson, Bryan Chaney, Michael Joe Fields, Paul Chaney, Danny Chaney and Greg Justice.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.
