A son of the late Charles Audrey and Verna Lee Coffee Adams.
He was also preceded in death by a half sister, Bonnie Hencye Sagraves.
He was a painting contractor, was a member of Ashland Elks BPOE #350, Ashland Eagles and Moose Lodge, attended American Legion Post #76, and belonged to Flatwoods American Legion Post #325.
Surviving are his special friend, Elizabeth ``Libby" Criswell of Worthington; a son, Charles Aaron Adams of Ashland; a stepdaughter, Lisa Delaney of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Lawrence ``Larry" Raymond Adams, of Ashland; a half brother, Jack Adams, of Ashland; three half sisters, Judith Ann Hencye Whitehead of Parrish, Fla., Dorothy Adams of St. Louis, Mo., and Maxine Adams of Houston, Texas; and a granddaughter, Destiny Kayla Skaggs of Ashland.
The funeral will be held at 7 tonight at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Chaplain Sharon McDonald.
Friends may call from 6 to 7 tonight at the funeral home with an Elks service at 7 by Ashland Elks BPOE #350 followed by a memorial service.
