Elouise Picklesimer of Ashland went home to be with the Lord at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2005. She was 78 years old.
Mrs. Picklesiimer was preceded in death by her husband, Farmer Picklesimer, in 1990 and also by her parents, Lacy and Pearl Carpenter Howard.
She was a member of Faith Independent Baptist Church of Catlettsburg.
Elouise loved her Bible and Bible studying. She loved to sew. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by her children, family and friends.
Mrs. Picklesimer is survived by two daughters, Billie Jean Queen and her husband, Ronald, of Ashland and Anita Louise McKenzie and her husband, James, of Ashland; a son, Charles Lacy Picklesimer and his wife, Melissa Dawn, of Ashland; six grandchildren, Melanie Elizabeth Vanderpool and her husband, Shannon, of Ashland; April Dawn Hill and her husband, Cranston Scott, of Catlettsburg; Christopher Lee Queen of Ashland; James Michael McKenzie and his wife, Jennifer, of Perrysburg, Ohio; Kristy Lynn Picklesimer of Ashland; and Charles Wayne Picklesimer of Ashland; six great-grandchildren, Garrett Nathaniel Vanderpool, Emily Elizabeth Vanderpool, Cranston Colby Hill, Helena Riley Hill, Baylin Sawyer Hill and Christopher Dilun Queen.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, at the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel by the Rev. Tom Keelin and the Rev. Stan Williams. Burial will follow in Howard Family Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
