Golda Farkas (1912-2005)

Golda M. Farkas, 93, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Mrs. Farkas was born May 22, 1912, in Pike County, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Fannie Farley Meade.
She was the widow of Joseph Farkas who died in 1999 and also was preceded in death by a son, Thomas R. Stuff.
Mrs. Farkas was an office clerk and a typist. She was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
Surviving are a sister, Marie M. Alderson of Annapolis, Md.; two grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
