Winfred "Wink" Cornwell - 1930-2005

Winfred "Wink" Cornwell, age 75, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, July 10, 2005, in Hospice Care Center.
Mr. Cornwell was born March 9, 1930, in Ice Creek, Ohio, a son of the late Fred and Emily Ferguson Cornwell.
He was a brick mason with Bricklayers Union Local No. 7. He was a member of Pollard Baptist Church, Northeastern Fish and Game Club, and Tri-State Woodworkers Club, did volunteer work for the woodshop at the Vo-Tech School and for that service was awarded the Home Town Hero Award on Oct. 17, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Linda May Cornwell; two daughters, Susan Yvette (Seibren) Hale of Ashland and Tina Maria (Pat) Foose of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Winfred Timothy Cornwell of Seattle and Randall Craig Cornwell and his wife, Jan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three brothers, Ronald (Doris) Cornwell of Rockwood, Mich., Ernest (Pat) Cornwell of Oakhill, Ohio, and Homer Cornwell of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Jeanetta Lindsay (Tommy) of Memphis, Tenn.; and grandchildren, David and Christopher Cornwell and Daniel and Andrew Foose.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Tom Swartzwelder. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 tonight, July 12, 2005, at the funeral home.
