Richard Drew Hunter, 54, of Ashland, Ky., died July 24, 2005, of a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 16, 1950, in Ashland, a son of Dr. S. Gray and Mada Hubert Hunter of Bellefonte, Ky.
R. Drew Hunter, M.S., CPA, PSC, was employed by The Counseling Center Inc. of Portsmouth, Ohio. He was a member of First Baptist Church, where he was a former treasurer, a member of Bellefonte Country Club, University of Kentucky Alumni Association (life member), Delta Tau Delta fraternity at UK, YMCA, Ashland and Portsmouth chambers of commerce and Kiwanis International.
Additional survivors include his fiancee, Suellen Brown Zornes; a son, Martin Gray Hunter, and twin sister, Allison Michelle Hunter of Ashland; two daughters, Dana Karolyn Hunter of Baltimore and Elizabeth Whitney Hunter of Lexington, Ky.; two brothers, Dr. Randolph Gray Hunter (Debra Kay) of Lakeland, Fla., and James Hubert Hunter of Lexington; a sister, Susan Hunter (David) Wilson of Sacramento, Calif.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Ashland by the Rev. Ed Talley. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today, July 27, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
