Joshua Lee Fugett, 17, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, July 21, 2005, in South Point, Ohio.

He was born Aug. 14, 1987, in Ashland, a son of Marsha Fugett and stepson of Jason Garner, both of Ashland.

He was a student. Joshua loved the Lord and found comfort by reading the Bible.

Joshua will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Alexandria Payne and Alexis Payne; a brother, David Allen Fugett and sister-in-law, Katie of Ironton, Ohio; and a nephew, Dakota Fugett.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Joed Rice. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.

None of you really knew Josh..the fun teenager...he had so much energy and loved going to cemetaries and lake vesuvius and hanging out with his friends just anywhere..he made me feel like a teenager again, he just had that kind charisma about him.i never saw him read the bible and i know he was spiritual but not in a christian way. he also has a daughter Athena Copley born Oct 30th 2005 by Sammie Copley...i feel so sorry for Athena because she will never know what awesome of a person her dad really was...

Hi Marsha and David. This is Michelle. I don't know if you remember me or not but I remember you when I dated Josh in his 8th and 9th grade year. I am very sorry about what happen to Josh. I wish it never happened but at least we know he is in a better place now. I hope you will be ok. If you would like to you can give me a call anytime at 369-5924.

Marsha, I am so sorry to hear about Josh, Rj and Matt thinks alot of him. Rj couldnt make it to see josh, he had to work and matt is in Georgia in the military. they both send their condolences. If you need anything at all,please call me. anytime. 739-9531.

I didnt really know Josh, but I went to school with him, and I do know that he never had a harsh word towards anyone. I just wanted to send my condolences to his friends and family

I live on Debord Hill and recall Josh visiting the neighbors often. I did not know him very well, but what I did know seemed to reflect a good young man. I send my deepest condolences to his daughters and family. He is now their guardian angel. God bless.
