Mary Kathryn Wamsley, 89, of Ashland, Ky., died Aug. 9, 2005, in Oakmont Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 13, 1916, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Lester Riffle.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, William A. (Sonny) Wamsley; a brother, James (Helen Martin) Riffle; and half sisters Rachel Yates, formerly of Findlay, Ohio, and Othell Hill, formerly of Fostoria, Ohio.
A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of Centenary United Methodist Church and was a member of the Builders Sunday school class and United Methodist Women. She and her husband delivered Meals on Wheels. Mary Kathryn did tolle painting and craft work.
She is survived by several nephews and cousins and a special godchild, Toni (John) Tackett of Cypress, Texas, and many friends.
The funeral will be at noon Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Wayne Watts. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
