Lois V. Sammons, 82, of Ashland, Ky., died Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2005, in Hospice Care Center.
She was born June 22, 1923, in Grayson, Ky., a daughter of the late Dallas C. and Mary Wilcox Fraley.
Mrs. Sammons, a homemaker, was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Ashland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert H. Sammons, and a son, Daniel G. Sammons.
Surviving are a son, Paul M. Sammons of Russell, Ky.; two brothers, Haskell G. Fraley of Grayson and Wayne L. Fraley of New Carlisle, Ohio; and two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Weldy of Tipp City, Ohio, and Mrs. Alene Halterman of Hitchins, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Dwight McCormick and Dr. Steve Ruby. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
Visitation is Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
