Ann Cannon Berry, 79, of South Ashland, passed over to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2005, following a long illness.

She was born July 8, 1926, in Jenkins, Ky., to the late Thomas Cannon and Ethel Farmer Cannon.

She was a graduate of the class of 1944 at Ashland High School. She also attended Centre College in Danville, Ky. She held longtime memberships to the Daughters of the American Revolution Poage Chapter and to the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Ashland. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and those that loved her.

Ann was a loving and compassionate wife, mother of three and grandmother of four. She is survived in death by her loving husband of 58 years, former Ashland city commissioner, Norman "Dutch" Berry; her adoring children, Barbara Lynn Buyalos of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas Cannon Berry and his wife, Kathy and Samuel Andrew Berry and his wife, Susan, all of Ashland; her cherished grandchildren, Zoe Buyalos of Columbus, Matt Buyalos, Robbie Berry and Lindsey Daniels, all of Ashland; and many other caring relatives and a host of friends.

Services celebrating the kind and wonderful person she was and the caring and giving life she lived will be entrusted to Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight, Aug. 26, 2005. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, with an interment following in Rose Hill Burial Park.
