Gloria J. Fraley, 80, of Ashland, Ky., died Sept. 7, 2005, in Aurora Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wis., following a brief illness.

Mrs. Fraley was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Ashland, a daughter of the late Rome Edward Long Sr. and Mildred Classing Long.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Barbour; her second husband, Orel Fraley; a brother, Rome Edward Long Jr.; and a sister, Kathleen Porter.

Mrs. Fraley was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ashland and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Her survivors include two nieces, Nancy Grisdale of Brookfield, Wis., and Kathleen Long of Ashland; a nephew, Ralph Timothy Long of New Hampshire; and a great-nephew, Aaron Shipp of Boston, Mass.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Ashland with the Rev. Ike Nicholson officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Friends may make contributions to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 1930 Winchester Ave., Ashland, KY 41101, or to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
