Charles Ellis "Chuck" Jones, 55, of Rush, Ky., died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at his residence following a sudden illness.

Mr. Jones was born June 19, 1950, in Ashland, Ky., a son of Bertha Jones Riffe of Greenup, Ky., and the late Wilburn Arthur Jones.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Charles Oscar Riffe.

Mr. Jones was a former employee of Production Credit and Hack Estep. He was a 1968 graduate of Greenup County High School, an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener and a fan of Boyd County baseball and UK basketball.

Surviving are his wife, Connie Tolliver Jones of Rush; a son, Jason (Tara) Jones of Rush; a daughter, Jamie Jones at home; two brothers, Ray (Melinda) Jones of Coal Grove, Ohio, and Wilburn Lee Jones of Paintsville, Ky.; a sister, Patricia Ann (Johnny) Wright of Greenup; his mother-in-law, Delores Tolliver of Rush; and sisters-in-law Diana Bradley, Leesa (Phillip) Green and Cindy (Richard) Moore, all of Rush.

He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Dan Brown. Burial will be in Tolliver Family Cemetery in Rush.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
