Blanche Wheeler Snell Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1917 - 2005 Blanche Wheeler Snell, 88, a resident of Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, in King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Mrs. Snell was born April 29, 1917, in Lawrence County, Ky., a daughter of the late Morton and Amanda Green Wheeler. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Snell, in 1976; a brother, Junior Wheeler; and a sister, Dorothy Lemaster. Surviving are her daughter, Billie Jean Steen and her husband, John William, of Ashland; grandchildren, Amy Twinam and her husband, Earl, of Ashland, and Sallie Boyd of Ashland; and a great-granddaughter, Madeline Boyd. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Elder Clarence Thompson Jr. and Elder J.D. Riggs. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
