Charles Edward Young, 41, of Ashland, Ky., died Oct. 26, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Young was born April 26, 1964, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of Julius “Dee” and Gladys Thompson Young of Catlettsburg, Ky.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Della and Amos Thompson and paternal grandparents, Alpha and Julius Young.
He was co-owner of Expro Services and a member of Elks Lodge BPOE No. 942 of Catlettsburg. He loved his church family and was a member of Jefferson Avenue Church of God. He was an avid golfer, fisherman and loved to camp.
He was a loving and devoted husband of Cindy Waggoner Young and a loving father of John Connor Waggoner, Addison Charles Young and Blake Scott Young.
Additional survivors include in-laws, Johnny and Diann Waggoner of Ashland; a brother, Roger Young and wife, Diane of Ashland; sisters, Jeris Fry and husband, Jimmy, who was Charlie's best friend of Catlettsburg, Tammy Wilson and husband, Micheal of Kenova, W.Va., and twin sister, Lisa McFarland of Ashland; four loving aunts, Francis Alley, Erma Stephens, Lillian Kelly and Marcella Wolfe and an uncle, Timothy Wolfe; a special uncle, Marshall Thompson and wife, Lois of Louisa, Ky.; 12 nieces and nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, 2005, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Greg Tomlinson. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight, Oct. 28, 2005, at the funeral home.
