Dear Terry Family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Mary helped out the Blazer band one season and I remember her sense of humor. I also remember the time she put tobacco on a bee sting and made my pain go away. Please know that she is fondly remembered and my prayers are with you in the days ahead.

Allison, I am so sorry about your mom, I know all too well how difficult it is to lose your mom, your best friend to such a terrible disease. Just wanted to let you know that I was thinking of you and you are in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Ruth's passing. She was a great lady and indeed a great friend of both my mother (Carrie Jarrell) and myself. She was our band director, and many many times came home to our house to eat. Later on she visited my Mom many times and we shall always remember her fondly. I particularly loved her for her special attention she gave me and for her deep love for music. I hope her husband and children, and family will know how very sad I am to hear of her untimely passing. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers. Warmly - G. Keith Jarrell Washington DC Formly of Catlettsuburg

I was saddened to hear that one of my old band directors had slipped away. It seems like only yesterday, not 30-plus years ago, that one of us drummers was driving her crazy during either marching or concert band rehearsal. She made band a lot of fun and she was a good teacher. "Rest your baton Mary Ruth... your symphony is now completed."

Allison and Alicia, Please know that your mother was the funniest, wackiest woman I knew but really a sweetheart and a dear friend. I am grateful for years I had her friendship and the crazy times we had together. I am so glad that she, Rose and I had one last wild weekend last year. I will miss her emails, her yearly vow to quit cussing, her coffee mug filled with "something" and her never having enough pepper on her food. She was special and we are all better for having her in our life. Take care of yourselves and know that Rose and I are always here for you. Pam

Dear Terry Family; So sorry for you loss. I knew Mary thought my cousin, Judy Grieme. Mary was a wonderful lady, always very friendly with any of Judy's family members. I wish there is something to say or do to ease the pain and grief. Just treasure the memoires!

Melissa: I am so sorry about the loss of Mary. She was such a favorite "sub" of mine and I'll always remember her as young and fun. Please know I'm praying for your entire family during this time.
