--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Curtis “Ted” Graham Jr., of Ashland, Ky., born on Dec. 18, 1924, to the late Curtis and Alma Louise Hall Graham, went to be with the Lord on the morning of Dec. 9, 2005.

Curtis has gone to Heaven to prepare a place for his beloved wife, Mary “Midge” Frazier Graham. The couple were devoted to one another for 63 years.

Also surviving is a son, Theodore “TJ” Graham of Ashland; one brother, Jimmy Graham of Ashland; two sisters, Thelma Smith of Ashland and Dottie Jenkins of Bastrop, Texas; four grandsons, Sean of Ashland, Aaron, Brett and Ryan of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four great-granddaughters, Alisa and Abigail of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Adalyn and Hannah of St. Petersburg.

Curtis served proudly and distinctly with the Navy on the USS Gustafson, DE 182, during World War II.

Curtis retired with more than 40 years of service in the railroad industry.

He was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Ashland. Curtis thoroughly enjoyed reading and traveling. His greatest passion was the love endeared to him by his family and friends.

We adore you, Grandpa, and are sincerely grateful for the countless blessings you bestowed upon us.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec., 12, 2005, in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland with the Rev. Harold Cathey officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Military graveside services will be provided by the American Legion Post 93 Kenova, W.Va.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Curtis' name may be made to Community Hospice, 1538 Central Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.
