Douglas W. “Doug” Smith, 63, of Ashland, Ky., died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Smith was born Nov. 12, 1942, in Detroit, a son of the late Orville Boyd and Virginia Casterline Smith.
He was affiliated with Chesapeake Flea Market and was a former employee of Smiths Window Washing in Detroit.
Surviving are his fiancee, Carolyn Sue “Susie” Root of Ashland; a daughter, Cassandra Smith; a son, Wayne Edward Smith and his wife, Lisa Ann of Chesapeake, Ohio; a stepson, Michael Root of Ashland; and a grandson.
There will be no funeral service.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
