Dorothy M. Scott, 82, of Ashland, Ky., died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2005, in Hospice Care Center.
Mrs. Scott was born March 27, 1923, in Boyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Bethany Fannin Ross.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Scott; and three sisters, Juanita Shanks, Ethel Ross and Edith Ross.
Mrs. Scott was a former employee of Stadium Drive In & Coyne Textile. She was of the Baptist faith and loved doing crafts.
She was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her survivors include a daughter Jaynie Wright of Ashland; a sister, Phyllis Ross of Ashland; three grandchildren, William Joseph Wright, Dean Allen Wright and Brad Aaron Wright, all of Florida; and four great-grandchildren, Sierra Wright, William Patrick Wright and Ian Wright.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens by Pastor Danny Goins.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland.
