Outana Abhay, 56, of Ashland, Ky., died Dec. 30, 2005, in Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio.
Mr. Abhay was born March 8, 1949, in Parkse, Laos, a son of Oui and Bancha Bouphasavanh Abhay.
He was of the Buddhist faith and formerly worked for Ashland Inc. at the Marine Terminal.
Surviving are his wife, Porntip Ammarinrattna; a son, Nakarath Abhay of Athens, Ga.; a sister, Savanna Abhay Khounlavong and her husband, Bounthanh.
He also is survived by nieces and nephew, Savandalay Khounlavong Baker, Thauhprasong Khounlavong, Savandalone Khounlavong and Phonesavanh Khounlavong Hester; and many other family members who reside in France and Australia.
Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. today, Jan. 1, 2006, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Frank Kiser.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
