Catherine Webb Blevins - 1917-2007
Catherine Webb Blevins, 89, of Flatwoods, Ky., died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007, at her residence.
Mrs. Blevins was born Aug. 13, 1917, in Wyco County, W.Va., a daughter of the late John Wesley and Mattie Queen Webb.
She also was preceded in death by her husband, Gomer Blevins, in 2006; and two brothers, Jay B. Webb and Chan Ray Webb.
She was retired from Armco Steel’s payroll department and a member of Central Baptist Church and a 64-year member of the Eastern Star Mistletoe Chapter 144.
Surviving are a brother, Wesley Junior Webb of Flatwoods; five sisters, Lillian Webb Swann, Genie Webb Clay and Lorraine Webb Lawson and her husband, William, all of Ashland, Ky., Georgene Webb Gardner and her husband, Richard, of Morehead, Ky., and Donna Webb Wilcox and her husband, Robert, of Flatwoods.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Joed Rice and the Rev. John Weaver. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.
