Rollie  MillerRollie Miller - 1931-2007

Rollie Miller, 76, of Ashland, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on Friday morning, June 15, 2007, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.

He was born March 7, 1931, in Pike County, Ky., a son of the late James D. and Fannie Griffith Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sue Dotson Miller, in 2005; three brothers, Alph Miller, Danny E. Miller and Orie Miller; and three sisters, Lois M. Stewart, Letha M. Elkins and Lacy M. Thompson.

He retired as a Steelworker with Armco Steel Corp. after 39 years of service. After retiring, Rollie enjoyed working in his flowers, gardening and most of all woodcarving. He was a member of Summit Missionary Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, William J. Miller and wife Debbie of Catlettsburg, Ky., and Anthony W. Miller of Ashland; two daughters, Roseanna Huffman and husband Richard of Grayson, Ky., and Wanda Bolt and husband Michael of Ashland; grandchildren Heather Justice, Jason Bays and wife Connie, Ricky Huffman and wife Kayla, Sarah Bolt, James Miller, Melissa McCall and Wayne Miller; great-grandchildren Madison and Josh Bolt, Devon and Lakin Justice and Jacob and Jessica Rose Bays; a stepgrandchild, Angela Adams; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Blake and Miranda Adams.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Steen Funeral Home-Marshall Steen Chapel in Ashland by the Rev. Kevin Meenach. Burial will be in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
